Windows XP Installation for WinTel Tutorial

This tutorial will guide you through creating a disk image of your CD-ROM to accomplish the following:

1. Create a disk image of your Windows XP CD. This step is optional; however it is STRONGLY recommended to SIGNIFCANTLY reduce the installation time. If the installation time is not a concern, then you may use your Windows CD directly and skip this step.

2. Create a WinTel Hard Disk image: A hard disk image is a virtual windows hard disk that we will need to install Windows or other operating systems on.

3. Boot Windows Setup: Startup the Bochs emulator using the Windows_XP.dmg file (or whatever you may have named the image in step 1).

4. Configure XP (or other OS): Configure your new operating system.
