is Grass?
GRASS (Geographic Resources Analysis Support System) is
an open source Geographical Information System (GIS) with
raster, topological vector, image processing, and graphics
production functionality that operates on various platforms
through a graphical user interface and shell in X-Windows.
It also includes NVIZ, a 3d visualization program.

How
long to you estimate the lag time between a new release
of code to having a web based update available?
We estimate new CD's to released about every 4 to 6 weeks.
The lag time should be no more then 2 weeks after a significant
new version of the software has been released. Ideally the
lag time should in most cases be around a week's time.
Do
you have a European distributor?
No we currently do not have a distributor in Europe though
we are looking into our options.
