FAQS
splitxyz Split xyz files into several segments; filter to divide xyz, distance and heading data into xyz track segments with nearly constant azimuth through the xy plane with many options.
gmtconvert Convert between binary and ASCII data tables; paste corresponding records from multiple files into a single file; extract a subset of the columns or only the segments whose header matches a text pattern search; list all multisegment headers and no data records; and extract first and last data record for each segment
sample1d Resamples 1-D table data sets; it resmaples provided timeseries/profiles at needed locations
gmtselect Select subsets of table data based on multiple spatial criteria. gmtselect is a filter that reads (longitude, latitude) positions from the first 2 columns and uses a combination of criteria to pass or reject the records. Records can be selected based on whether or not they are: inside a rectangular region; within distance of any point and/or line; inside a polygon(s); inside geographical features (based on coastlines); or has z-values within a given range. The sense of the tests can also be reversed for each of the criteria.
