Command Summary
gmt2rgb Converts Sun 8, 24 and 32-bit raster files or grd files to red, green, blue component grids
gmtdefaults Lists the current default settings, to edit the defaults, use the gmtset command or edit the ~/.gmtdefaults4a (in your home directory) with text editor
gmtset Change parameters for your preferences; a new default file will be created if it does not exist.
makecpt Utility to assist creating color palette tables; creates a palette based the master palette given an equidistant set of contour intervals or by providing your own table containing z-values (The results may also be reversed).
grd2cpt Generate a color palette table from a gridded file
psbasemap Creates PostScript code that will produce a "basemap". Several map projections are available, optionally the separate tickmark intervals for boundary annotation, ticking, and optionally gridlines may be specified. A simple map scale or directional rose may also be plotted.
pscoast Plot (and fill) land-masses, water-masses; it will plot grayshaded, colored, or textured land/water-masses and optionally draw: coastlines, rivers, and political boundaries.
psimage Plot Sun rasterfiles on a map; it reads a Sun rasterfile and plots it on a map. The image may be scaled arbitrarily, and 1-bit images can be (1) inverted, i.e., black pixels (on) becomes white (off) and vice versa, or (2) colorized, by assigning different foreground and background colors, and (3) made transparent where one of back/foreground is filled only.
