Apache 2.0.54

Apache is unquestionably the World's most popular and tested web server. Apache (1.3.x) comes installed on every Mac with the introduction of Mac OS X. However, we have enabled more features (such as mod_perl) than Apple's build of Apache 1.3.x, and to make sure every thing works seamlessly, we built our OpenWeb CD based on our builds of Apache.

This is the first version of the OpenWeb product featuring Apache 2.0.54 complete with SSL support in a stand-alone application.

Our version of Apache can still be controlled with your Sharing System Preferences (see right). Our Apache 2.0.54 installation is an independent application, which will not conflict with Apache 1.3.x in anyway.

We have included Webmin for a graphical user interface for configuring and controlling (among a long list of other services) your Apache server(s).


The OpenWeb CD will install Apache 2.0.54 configured with the following modules:
