Boot Windows 98 Setup

After the "c.ddimg" file is finished being created, locate the "c.ddimg" file with the "Choose Disk C..." or type in the field next to the button:

~/c.ddimg


In the "Choose Disk D..." field, specify the Windows_98.img file that you (should have) created in step 1 by typing in the field next to the "Choose Disk D..." button:

~/Windows_98.dmg


Select the "Boot from Disk D:" option.

Now that we have our boot CD-ROM image and disk C image selected, we are ready to start the emulator. Click on the "Start 586 Emulator" button (or just hit return). Notice that we have all of the default "Emulator Options" selected, except for the "Boot from Disk D:" option.

Note that after you start the MacBochs 586 Emulator, the WinTel window is still in the foreground. You must click in the "MacBochs 586"window, or click on the "Bochs Carbon" icon in order to activate it.

Choose option 2 by entering 2 or by hitting the Return key on this screen and the next screen (to boot from the CD and to enable CD-ROM support).
